Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Raccoon Page, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

Raccoon Page is a cloud-based knowledge management platform for teams. We provide tools for creating, organizing, and sharing documentation within your organization.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. In jurisdictions where COPPA applies, users under 13 are not permitted to create accounts.

4. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed on a monthly cycle. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If a payment fails, we will attempt to process it again and may restrict access after a 7-day grace period if the issue is not resolved. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Free-tier accounts do not require payment and have no financial obligations.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, to upload malicious content or malware, to harass or abuse other users, to violate third-party intellectual property rights, to engage in automated scraping or abuse of the service, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data, to distribute or promote illegal drugs or controlled substances, to facilitate sex trafficking or sexual exploitation, to distribute pirated or counterfeit content, or to engage in money laundering or fraud. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, in accordance with Section 14.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to host and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

7. Data Protection

We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. Upon voluntary termination, you may export your data within 30 days. After that period, data may be permanently deleted. We may also suspend or terminate your account for cause, including but not limited to violations of these Terms, in accordance with Section 14.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Raccoon Page shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 for free-tier accounts, whichever is greater.

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration body, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. Class action claims are waived to the extent permitted by law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days advance notice of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect.

13. DMCA and Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices of alleged infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). To report copyright infringement, contact our designated DMCA agent at legal@raccoonpage.com with the required information including identification of the copyrighted work, the infringing material, and your contact information.

14. Account Suspension and Termination for Cause

We may suspend or terminate your account or organization at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, including but not limited to: violations of the Acceptable Use policy (Section 5), engagement in illegal activity, fraud, security threats, or non-payment of fees. Where the violation involves illegal activity or poses an immediate security threat, we may suspend or terminate without prior notice. No refund of fees already paid will be issued upon suspension or termination for cause. Your data will be retained for a reasonable period as necessary for legal compliance and law enforcement purposes, after which it may be permanently deleted. If an organization account is suspended, all members of that organization will lose access to that organization’s content for the duration of the suspension, though they may continue to access other organizations they belong to. You may appeal a suspension or termination within 30 days by contacting support@raccoonpage.com.
